This time, I'm still using the typical Lupron, Vivelle patches, and Delestrogen, but I've switched up on a few. Instead of Progesterone-in-Oil (PIO) shots, I get to try Emdometrin suppositories. That's right, sista. You heard me. Suppositories. You may recall my quiet grumbling....nay..."belly aching", if you ask the hubs, about the PIO shots last cycle. Lemme tell you, it was murderous sometimes. Three shots in one day, two in the bum? Face it, you wouldn't be excited either. Especially having giant golf balls known as "progesterone lumps" forming at the injection sites two weeks into the cycle. I'm not hearing too many good things though from the women in my group who've tried these suppositories. I guess the grass is always greener though, right? We'll see.
In addition to the goopy suppositories, I'll also indulge in a little tamoxifen (yes, the chemo therapy kind) to help thicken this lining up some. I really think that was my problem with the last pregnancy, so hopefully all this acupuncture, chemo drug stuff and shots in the bum will do me some good. My next two frozies are due for transfer in mid-August. Can't want to hear how they are doing after the thaw. As always, fingers crossed!
