So, I haven't felt much like writing, but here's a quick post-miscarriage update:
FET Cycle #2 is on. The hubs and I discussed our feelings until we were sick of ourselves before deciding we had to go for it to be happy.
I'm back on birth control for two weeks and starting Lupron again next week. Once I'm good and suppressed (boooo) we'll move on to Tamoxifen (low dose chemo to help the thin lining, booooo again), Estrogen 2 ways (enter crazy) and Progesterone... Wait for it....suppositories. Yeah. Freaking Progesterone up the hoo ha twice a day. Whoop, whoop! I hear it entails lots of panty liners and hand washing. Well you know what wasn't on that list of side effects? NEEDLES!
That's not all, but I bet you knew that. Go back to page 1 if you thought it'd be that easy. The big dog in the yard is coming. Early in August, a bit before my transfer, I'll get to lay my big bum on the table, staring at the ceiling and ignoring the three other people in the room, while my RE scratches my uterine wall once or twice to help thicken my lining. Can you say "holy balls"?!?! I can. Wanna hear it again? Holy. Balls! I'm told by my nurse that all I'll need us an Alieve. Oh yeah? Raise your hand if you think she's lying and it's all a trick.
I have an acupuncture consult this week too. Here's hoping that, of all this lining-thickening spaghetti, something sticks.
As always, more to come...
