Most of us infertiles trying for babies have all kinds of ideas and do all sorts of research into natural ways to remedy our infertility issues. Its really been a blessing to me to be able to share my infertility struggle with other women who suffer in similar ways. Some are fighting with fibroids, others PCOS, and some have problems getting their hormones on the same page. Whatever ails ya though, there's always someone who's done enough poking around to find a remedy that just may work! I've been lucky enough to see a positive result with some of my attempts and I'm hopeful that the good results keep on coming! I thought to share some of the natural things I've tried during my "common misconception". Some have shown me good results, while others have just reminded me why these things weren't in my regular diet/routine in the first place!
Since the deflation of canceling the last cycle, I've started the following regimen to help remedy this saran-wrap thin lining, and with pretty good results too (lining went from 4.4 to 6.5 in 2 weeks):
• 3 avocados/wk (usually as a mid-morning snack, but I wouldn't sneeze at a bowl of guacamole either!)
• supplements of Fish Oil, Flax Seed Oil and Borage Seed Oil once a day (after dinner w/ prenatals to avoid upset tummy)
• fresh pineapple, core included, one a week during the first 10 days of cycle
• activity to increase circulation (a 30 min brisk walk alternated w/massage - I prefer massage days best!)
• Vitamin B100 complex to help with metabolism, energy and circulation
• Walnuts, 1/3 cup a day (they're about the only nut I'm not allergic to, but I find them hard to take, ick!)
So far, I have no idea which, if any of these have done the trick with helping my lining, so I guess I'll have to continue them all until I reach my next baseline u/s date. Once I get there, I'll discontinue the pineapple, as it can cause uterine contractions later in the cycle. It's my plan to update the post with better numbers over a longer period of time once I confirm continued success with an ultrasound.
Some of the other things I've tried with less success included natural pomegranate juice (ewww, not as good as it sounds) and acupuncture, which works for some, but not so much for me. If you've got other suggestions or had a positive outcome with something that isn't on my list, shoot me an email from my contact page and let me know! I'd love to chat about it!
